Awkward and innocent
Gangly and hapless

Caustic and sarcastic

A time for me to be me
Not to worry about others and what they might think

I don’t want my regrets, I don’t want to be sorry
Don’t look at me that way,
Just listen to what I say
I’m done with this world
And the way that it forces us
To be something ridiculous
Preposterous, outrageous
Something stereotypical
Completely clichéd  
Whether we want to or not
It’s what’s expected, don’t try to be different
Just leave your true self
Your innovations and creations  
Just try to fit in
Be subtle and ordinary
That’s what they want
